Wyoming teen permit rules
Minimum permit age
15 for a regular learner permit; ages 14–15 may qualify separately for an approved restricted hardship permit.
Requirements under 18
A parent or guardian signs the application for a minor. For an intermediate permit, be at least 16, hold a learner permit for 10 days or longer, log 50 driving hours including 10 at night, and pass a skills test with Driver Services or through an approved driver education program. An intermediate-permit applicant must also appear for a photo, surrender the existing permit, bring the required identity documents and driving-hours proof, and pass vision screening.
Driver’s education
Full driving privileges at 16½ require an approved driver education course and six months on an intermediate license. The handbook also lists full privileges from age 17.
Only independently reviewed sections are shown. This page is not a complete application checklist.
