Documents to bring
For the teen instructional permit, bring approved driver-education enrollment or completion proof and the school referral card. The REAL ID list requires one identification-number proof, one identity-and-age proof and two New Mexico residency proofs. The Standard list requires one identity-and-age proof and two residency proofs. The teen and parent or guardian sign at the MVD field office; the procedural manual records a documented-emancipation exception.
