Kansas permit fees and documents
Permit fee
The agency credential chart lists a $10 regular learner-permit total. Its examiner notes separately describe a $3 first exam fee and $1.50 re-exams within six months; testing fees are waived when using a driver-education form. Confirm the applicable charges with the issuing office.
Documents to bring
For a first Kansas credential, gather lawful-presence evidence, Social Security evidence, two Kansas residential-address documents and any legal name-change evidence. Applicants younger than 16 need a parent or guardian present with photo ID. Use original documents and check the agency checklist for non-U.S.-citizen requirements and exemptions.
Only independently reviewed sections are shown. This page is not a complete application checklist.
